Sinead and the Dawnbreakers

Sinead was raised in a home surrounded by music, her father Gerry was a musician and her mother Philomena fronted her own Irish show band the Dawnbreakers. It is in homage to this that Sinead has decided to revive the name for her new project. With the Dawnbreakers Sinead’s has gone back to her love of music from 50s and 60s but brought up to date with a contemporary twist. The band have already recorded BBC Radio 2 session with Dermot O'Leary and have appeared on Children In Need.

Sinéad Quinn originally shot to success in 2002 when she beat Lemar to reach the final of BBC1 TV show ‘Fame Academy’. As the only contestant selected by public vote rather than the judges’ panel, it is no surprise that she went on to release two hit singles including No.2 ‘I Can’t Breakdown’ and a self-penned album entitled 'Ready to Run'.
