Kafkadiva

Kafkadiva are a female-fronted three-piece whose genre is blues-rock-pop - with a twist! Their dynamic live set is both tight, bright and in-your-face; light-hearted lyrics, snappy songs and catchy melodies mean that Kafkadiva both surprise and delight their audience.

Formed in January 2009, Leicester-based Kafkadiva boast an accomplished rhythm section comprising drummer, Tony Norris and bass player, Rafaele Ruocco who present irresistible, dancey rhythms that establish a rock-steady foundation. Front-woman and guitarist, Louise Wilson, completes the line-up delivering irresistible riffs, mischievous lyrics and memorable, moreish melodies.

With influences ranging from Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Cream and Free to Portishead, Muse and XTC, Kafkadiva present a truly eclectic mix which both pleases and entertains a diverse audience. But far from being a 'one-trick-pony', Kafkadiva can deftly express deep sensitivity and romance as well as raw, edgy rock demonstrating their true versatility and ability.

Their debut album, 'Big Toes and Fingers' is due for release later this year. It promises to deliver both humour and sensitivity and has extraordinary potential for mass appeal. Kafkadiva are not to be missed.
