City GirlsCity Girls' single Make Up Your Mind is due for releast Sunday 28th June, followed by their album aptly named "DEBUT" mid-July. City Girls were found and developed by pop management legend Kim Glover (New Kids on the Block, Ant & Dec, B*Witched, etc) as marketing project for a fragrance company in the summer of 2007. After the fragrance project came to a conclusion Glover decided to sign them to her label BXB7 and begin the process of recording. She brought on board some great writers and producers and the City Girls sound was crafted. The band of 3 girls have fabulously addictive belting vocals courtesy of lead singer Sheena Rowe and lifestyle lyrics that have an infectious, catchy new take on mainstream dance music. Make Up Your Mind is the City Girls' second single release. Make Up Your Mind is written and produced by the same team and the track has been remixed by Pete Hammond and is currently being well received by club DJs across the UK. Future Freakz have also done a remix in their own inimitable style. Pete Hammond dubbed 'mix master' Hammond is from a mainstream/pop background and has been credited on over 140 UK hits with artists such as Kylie, Debbie Harry, Take That, New Kids on the Block and most of the 80's hit factory of Stock, Aiken and Waterman whilst recent collaborations include Alphabeat and Positiva. His remix of Make Up Your Mind has that definite 80's homage. City Girls were used by leading games company Ubisoft for their advertising campaign for Imagine Girl Band played on Nintendo DS. The adverts were launched in August 2008 and featured City Girls together with Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby. OMG is also being used as the backing music for series of the ongoing TV adverts. This year leading footwear brand Hush Puppies have signed the band up to be ambassadors of their nationwide competition to find a shoe designer. The band appeared in their advertising campaign in leading magazine LOOK, as well as forming a crucial part of the PR campaign for the brand. The will be appearing at Schuh stores around the UK doing live PA's and will be part of the national radio campaign on Heart and Galaxy radio. Websites: |
