BonedBoned: A classic British old-school hard rock band boasting dirty loud riffs, bone-shaking drums, thunderous bass and razor blade vocals. In March 2006 Boned became the first British hard rock band to ever play the Royal Albert Hall when they beat Judas Priest, The Scorpions and even members of Deep Purple to the opening slot of the Teenage Cancer Trust Tommy Vance Tribute Gig. Wearing their musical influences on their sleeve, 'Boned' have been closely compared to various late 1970s classcic rock bands, including 'Bon Scott' era 'AC/DC'. But it was the band's straightforward, hard-hitting, infectious and riff-laden sound that first attracted the fans including the late, great rock DJ Tommy Vancy. BONED were the very last band that Tommy Vance enthused over before his untimely death in 2005. He loved their raw energy and irreverence and played their music constantly - Cookie, Danny and Jessie Vance, July 2006. Other quotes include:
Following this momentous gig produced for TCT by Roger Daltry CBE and Harvey Goldsmith CBE, Boned have appeared at various festivals and gigs taking them to locations including China, USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, France and England. Boned are pleased to be appearing at Festival Too as part of their European tour 2009 and hope that King's Lynn is ready to Rock and Roll - turn it up and party! Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Carry on Rock at its absolute best... forget pointless love songs and cheesy melodies. Think motorbikes, guitars, fast girls and drivin' on the sidewalk. A time we all remember and, regrettably, often forget. Remember Spinal Tap - they only went to 11. These guys go to 12 and beyond. Sit back, relax, put your foot on the stage monitor, turn it up and enjoy - the only real British Rock and Roll band to hit these shores since 1975... BONED! |
