About Festival Too

Tuesday Market Place Entertainment, 2007 Festival Too is celebrating its 23rd year in 2008 of bringing FREE entertainment to King's Lynn.

In 1985 a group of local business people got together believing that there was a need for a popular music event in the town and Festival Too was born. In year one the budget was £5,000 and in 2007 - over an impressive £70,000!

Festival Too is a sponsorship driven event and is totally non-profit making. Every single penny raised is put directly back into the Festival itself.

We have over 250 sponsors from The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, national companies such as Masterfoods as well as local companies and private individuals alike.

We provide FREE street entertainment on the Saturdays of the Festival so that families visiting the town can enjoy such activities as clown shows and balloon modelling whilst shopping and getting ready for the evening's entertainment.

With help and support from the local press as well as local radio, we publicise the event well in advance of Festival Too, ensuring as many people come along and enjoy the free event as much as possible. Regular crowds of over 10,000 have seen acts such as Deacon Blue, The Stranglers, Bad Manners, The Human League, 10cc, Heather Small of M People, and this year acts such as Atomic Kitten and Kuda will be thrilling the audience.

Importantly we support local bands and over half of the acts booked are local performers. This year you will see Red Hot Soul Band, After Hours and Atomic Kitten's supporting band, Kuda!

Do you want to help make Festival Too better in 2009? Look for the team with their Festival Too collection butckets on Festival Too events. Every penny raised will go towards future entertainment.

Come along and enjoy one of Europe's largest FREE festivals!
